  • Why they don't want you to compare.

It is obvious why Express Flooring does not want you to compare pricing to the competition. It is because they will attempt to charge you more before you can compare. This is why they have an army of unprofessional appraisers who are there in one day and never provide a written quote. They also claim you will only get the best price the day they give the verbal estimate. It's all about the pressure tactics to force a quick decision. I feel for the elderly people who are taken advantage of because they dont want to go out to the store to pick tile or carpet. You will only see a few... More...

  • Poor quality carpet & poor installation

In March, 2013 (before I retired) I had new carpet installed in my 2 bedrooms, 2 halls, & 2 closets. Soon after, I had to have a service call to glue down some areas. At that time I had them also fix some areas where the carpet met the tile. Now all the carpet has to be stretched and they want $50 for a service call. I think it should be done for free as I feel it was a poor installation to begin with. I had the original construction grade carpet in my whole house for 12 years without any problems. I also have a path on all parts of the carpet that are walked on. I am very... More...

  • bad express flooring customer service

Called Express Flooring and had a smooth talking salesman, Stefan. Many promises made about quality of Express service and guarantee and work. I had previously and meticulously measured our tiny kitchen tile to need approx. 75-80sf...inc. extra for waste...but Stefan assured me more was needed and not to worry, the correct amount would be ordered. Install was good although cabinets were not covered as he promised and the workers did not lay out the several pieces on the floor for eval. as he promised. Workers did a nice job, but tile was taller than connecting floor, which we did not... More...

  • STAYAWAY!!!!! THEY COST ME $1000 FOR NOTHING!!

Very shady and sneaky..... I wish I had read these reviews before I started any interaction with this company. A salesman came over to the house and worked with my wife on a quote while I was at work. Turns out he strong armed her into signing a contract and scheduling and appointment. After taking a down payment of $1900 he told her that if her husband wasn't happy with the quote, that we could cancel with no problem. What he failed to mention was that they would keep 25% of the total payment. Long story short, they quoted us more than twice as much as the 3 other companies that came... More...

  • Horrible experience with a 'SERVE US' organization

We had dealt with Express Flooring on a smaller job about a year and a half ago, and aside from having to project manage the project ourselves, it went OK. This time, we wanted to expand on the project we undertook earlier, and contacted Express Flooring to see if we could match the color and size of the tile we purchased earlier. The salesman, Don, came to our home with samples. We were happy with a close color match, given the time lapse between. He insisted on 100% upfront payment, which we paid, even though it is not our normal process. He also assured us that the tile would match... More...

  • Express Flooring High Pressure Sales

My wife scheduled an appointment with Express Flooring. A woman salesperson showed up and she refused to start her sales presentation until I was also present. I pulled out a notepad and pen and she said that taking notes would not be necessary. (HUH?) She went through her presentation, her questionaire for us and showed us some carpet samples. I asked her how much each of her samples cost per yard. She said that was not relevant and she would get to that later. She measured the two rooms and small walk in closet that we wanted carpeted and said that she calculated 93 cubic yards. She then... More...

Do not buy from this company! We signed the contract and set a date for the install, which was 2 days later. He confirmed that the carpet was in stock. The next day we found out that the carpet was not in stock and set the appointment for a week out. They cancelled again because they didn't receive enough for our home. They received the carpet the next day, but were late for our morning appointment. We then realized that the carpet they were bringing did not match the carpet that we signed for. They explained how they need to change the name of the carpet to avoid the competition from... More...

  • BUYER BEWARE

I will never use EXPRESS FLOORING again, or refer anyone to this company. During the initial assessment of choosing our flooring, (vinyl plank) we were told there was a life time warranty for the flooring should any issues arise. Upon hearing this, we were sold. Days later, we installed the flooring throughout the entire bottom floor of our home. Express Flooring was more than helpful and completed the job in a day. Months later we noticed that the vinyl began peeling away from the plank!! Imagine as if scotch tape was peeling from a piece of plywood. This was similar in thickness. We... More...

  • Express Flooring - bad, bad....bad

The absolute worst customer service! Buying and installing new flooring is stressful enough. Find another company who is competent and friendly. Managers never returned my phone calls, numerous issues and concerns with installation and product, also I was stood up for my install and a repair 4 times. I had to go up two chains of managers and the service was still awful. Additionally, I saw my sales guy after my install and told him about my experience and suggested he provide his sales customers with the truth about their service. He said there was no way he would do such a thing.... More...

  • Tile, vinyl flooring

hired to complete more than 10K in flooring in my home. I had many problems with service and installation. First set of installers could not speak english, called office and was instructed to "text" foreman as he had an "app" that he could forward to installers and it would translate to spanish for them. Then they completed (took double the time as promised). They left all doorways unfinished with carpet and nails loose, and it took numerous calls (3 weeks) to finally have finished. A few months later my daughters knee was sliced open to the point of stitches and when... More...

  • question

My question is. How can Express Flooring offer hugh amounts off, such as 65%. Unless maybe it's already marked up 165%. I own a tile store and will not be able to have a 50% off sale. Why? because we don't mark are tiles up 50%. Maybe we should mark very high prices on the tile then have a sale and sale them for a reasonable price. Second thought, No thanks. I like honesty first. Since 1989 We are Family owned and operated in Tucson. More...

  • HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience! Apparently their FREE estimate only applies if you plan to buy from them. When sales rep arrived, he refused to do estimate because we weren't ready to make a decision right away and both "decision makers" weren't present. Why is this necessary if we only want a quote??? We explained we only wanted an estimate because we planned to shop around . . . doesn't everyone do this??? The "sales" rep was very arrogant, unfriendly and pushy! Who makes a decision to buy without making sure they are getting the BEST deal? Their... More...

  • sales call

I Called the number - told them my wants, 18 inch tile and the colors I was interested in them bringing. The sales man came at the designated time, however, he had no samples. he measured and gave us a price for a tile we might like and he was 800 dollars higher than a store we visited. Hesaid he would try to get some samples and call us back in an hour or so and see if they could meet our price even though we had never set eyes on any sample.. That was two weeks ago. We have not heard or seen anything from this company since. I will never do business with them. From what the salesman... More...

  • closet space

The workmen were professional and nice. But I did not get what was verbally suggested by sales rep, which included waterproofing concrete and a cork underlay. I got plastic sheeting with foam on one side for underlay. This company does not include matching baseboard. So the workmen used trim I had left over from a previous project. This company does not supply or put in a strip to cover the gap between rooms. One worker used a dark wood strip he 'found' between floors which looks hideous. I said I would have to sand it down to match. I cannot recommend Express flooring. They... More...

  • Lying Sales Rep

During the sales pitch the sales rep (Chris) showed us this very professional and well created PowerPoint presentation. Further, Chris had my wife and I fill out this questionnaire asking us what our top 5 concerns were. Trust was our number one concern. Chris than focused his presentation to this concern. He listed several reasons why we should trust Express flooring. The number one reason he spent a extrodinary amount of time on was explaing how Express does not have the typical model of utilizing sub-contractors to install. Express exclusively uses thier own employees which have to... More...

  • disappointed in customer service

Express flooring was my first choice for getting new carpet. And when I filled out the free estimate form online I was pleased to get such a fast response from Heather Emerson (Phoenix, AZ) But after being put on hold immediately and then somehow I was transfered to another employee, Cassandra. I was incredibly upset with how i was treated and how she wasn't listening to my requests what so ever. and when she went to scold one of her employees about how I was transfered to her ... she didn't even bother to place me on hold. I found her so unprofessional, I told her I would rather... More...

In response to Express Flooring comment about our experience with them we would like to clarify the accusations made against us. All you have to do is check the Better Business Bureau and that will speak for itself. Express Flooring has a rating of F and in November of 2007 the company's membership in the BBB was revoked because of complaints that reflect unfavorably upon them. Mr. Jaffe is has lied about every detail of our experience. In fact the very people who installed our carpet informed us of his horrid ways. We held half of payment until Mr. Jaffe came to inspect the... More...
